Too often we are told the roles and attributes of an appeasing woman, but I say F That (and the F is forget)! I want to know all the movies and books that tell men who they are and not who they should be. Before a woman speaks she is assessed by her looks, but this is not a male bash this is one for society so again F you and never forget this F stands for forget...
I am a Mom and a young one at that but it doesn't mean I can't have fun. When I first found out I was pregnant my mindset shifted and it shifted fast. I started carrying myself in a different way and by different I mean judgemental. I began distancing myself from my friends and judging girls that were partying/going out living their lives, because I was miserable and trying to change myself so people wouldn't attack me. Basically, I wanted to change my image from fun party girl to serious wife and mother. Too achieve this I started nagging more and then I started TRYING to parent my GROWN husband, can you imagine that (it failed). First of all I'm younger than him, Second he has been living this whole time without me, who am I to tell him at 24 years of age he's doing it wrong (aka not my lane). So I am telling you today do not take the fun out of your relationships from romantic to cordialness, you can still be YOU and be mom. It is not a sin to laugh, drink, or dance. You owe yourself happiness becasue that happiness will affect everyone around you. Think of yourself as the thermostat for your family, you control the temperature in the house. Let your home be warm and inviting to all but most importantly yourself. Half the images we see are edited, posed, and unrealistic. Those mommy influencers with the perfect images and family are just as human as you meaning no one gets it 100% everytime but those times it does don't forget to celebrate. My number one rule is
DO NOT COMPARE, ALTER, or SHRINK yourself for the likes of others. If your child has a roof, food, and love you are doing all the right things! Continue to practice Self love this week and write three things you are grateful for everyday. See ya later MOG and keep shinning :)
Im glad you enjoyed! Stay tuned hunny!!
Well said... F it. Appreciate hearing what’s it really like transitioning to a mom and the mental ups and down. Such an encouragement. Thanks for sharing your truth!
